Ahh, another year, another JavaOne coming up!
And another year I can't attend because of the $1,500+ price tag! (And that's with the early bird "discount")
I'd love to be able to go, maybe someday when I have an extra $1,500+ lying around.

Hey, Joe. Realize it's not a free ticket, but posts like yours by people who want to attend but can't afford it, encouraged the folks behind the 2008 JavaOne Conference to extend some discounts.
